So, as they won 2nd in the UK, and 1st in Wales, for fish and chips I had to give it a whirl.
It didn't disappoint.
The chips are double cooked and tasted amazing. The mushy peas were lovely and had a rich flavour.
The tartare sauce is homemade and actually tasted like proper restaurant quality which complemented both the fish, mushy peas and chips.
Now for the main event, the fish. It was thinly battered with a great crunch. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth and had a great butter poached taste.
The staff were really friendly and worked so hard.
Lucky we went early as they'd been so busy they ran out of chips when we were there.
I really liked their app and it was nice to see the fish kitchen bringing chippies into the 21st century!
I will definitely be back.
Such an amazing chip shop with technological innovations. We used click and collect service which was slightly delayed but to be fair it was peak time on a Friday evening so ten minutes wasnt too bad of a delay. Would really recommend them and they have lots of options and lots of effort gone into each item.
I travelled 30 minutes, due to hearing positive things about this shop. All I can say is that it was absolutely worth the journey.
We had 2 Cod Suppers and the chips proper fish shop chips, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, tasted amazing! The fish, well what can I say absolutely stunning! The batter was light and crispy and didn't have any of the glup that you get in most fish shops! The fish was pure white, chunky flakes and just so tasty! We also had the Fruity Curry and Gary's Homemade tartar sauce, both were the best we've tasted!
Thank you all the amazing staff, who were informative and very welcoming! I would recommend this shop to anyone! You can see why they have achieved what they have!
